On this page you’ll find all merchandize cards from Roy Keane that were published in 1994 / 1995 and that I actually own. I don’t copy & paste pictures from all around the internet. So chances are that these aren’t all cards available. If you like to suggest one or more cards for me to complete my collection, just give me a hint in the commentary section on this page. Thanks in advance!

Roy Keane cards 1994-1995

  • Roy Keane
  • Manchester United
  • A series of twenty         Series 1         [Card no.] 12
  • Position: Midfield
  • Born: 10/8/71, Cork, Ireland

Roy Keane was brought into English football, at age 19, by Brian Clough and learnt his trade under the old master at Nottingham Forest. Relegation for Forest at the end of the 1992-3 season, sparked a transfer battle by the premiership clubs to sign the irascible Roy Keane. Never afraid of investment for the future, United paid Forest an English record transfer fee of £3.75M. Fitting smoothly into an attacking midfield position, it soon became evident that Roy Keane had the United ‘culture’ in him. An ‘all action’ player, his control of the ball, positional sense and powerful, late forward runs have blended in perfectly with United’s attacking ethos. In concert with traditional United midfield players, Keane is an exciting play-maker and together with the other midfield dynamo, Paul Ince, they have bonded to become one of the most formidable partnerships in the premier division. A pugnacious and irrepressible player of the highest quality.
