28 January 2017 | Asuka vs Nikki Cross vs Billie Kay vs Peyton Royce

Usually the NXT TakeOver specials are indeed something special, something to look forward to. And usually the shows exceed all expectations. But not this time. Most matches appeared as fillers and didn’t have much history / story to them. And also the Fatal 4-Way match for the NXT Women’s Championship could have been better and longer. I still enjoyed this match the most from NXT TakeOver: San Antonio, so it’s on my list of Best NXT Matches of 2017. Here are my thoughts. Enjoy!

25 January 2017 | Ember Moon vs Liv Morgan

Many people aren’t satisfied with the Women’s Division in NXT right now. And I personally don’t like Liv Morgan very much. Her latest encounter with Ember Moon also didn’t last too long. And still I’ve included this match into my list of Best NXT Matches of 2017. There are a few reasons for it. And I’ve written them down here. Enjoy!

Neulich in der Gemäldegalerie zu Dresden: “Alte Meister” nach Thomas Bernhard

Albrecht Goette, Ahmad Mesgarha

15 January 2017 | Tyler Bate vs Pete Dunne (UK Championship Tournament Final)

What I liked most about the entire UK Championship Tournament was the story itself that came to full conclusion in the final match. In retrospect, everything else have been strings leading towards this fabulous finish. And Tyler Bate vs Pete Dunne very much lived up to the hype and intensity that was created previously. So, this is my little take not just on this very match but also on the whole tournament. Enjoy!

11 January 2017 | The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) vs #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)

#DIY vs The Revival

This is the start of my new collection of great matches in NXT (including a few extras possibly) in 2017. We have already watched #DIY vs The Revival for a couple of times and their latest encounter in 2016 had been voted Match of the Year in the entire WWE. But since this one here probably was the last match of The Revival in NXT and what better way to start 2017 than with a #DIY match, I go for this one. Enjoy!

SmackDown Live 2016/10/11: Dean Ambrose gives lupins to the poor and is now called Dennis Moore

Already a few months past since I watched my last WWE show besides NXT. I was committed to actual writing work for money, so didn’t have the time. But I did make time to watch this newest edition of SmackDown Live because, come on, you can’t miss one of the rare occasions of Dean Ambrose playing the referee in WWE. I’ve got to say a few bits about that and also why I hardly enjoy WWE these days. Have fun!

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II 2016/08/20: Bobby Roode is gloriously overrated

At the moment, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are my favourite wrestlers in all of WWE right now. So, of course, their match against The Revival was my main event of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Others didn’t impress me that much. I still don’t get why people aren’t excited about Andrade “Cien” Almas. The guy is glorious, much more than the guy overly hyped as such. Other impressions from the latest NXT live show, you can read here. Enjoy!
