11 January 2017 | The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) vs #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa)

#DIY vs The Revival

This is the start of my new collection of great matches in NXT (including a few extras possibly) in 2017. We have already watched #DIY vs The Revival for a couple of times and their latest encounter in 2016 had been voted Match of the Year in the entire WWE. But since this one here probably was the last match of The Revival in NXT and what better way to start 2017 than with a #DIY match, I go for this one. Enjoy!

SmackDown Live 2016/10/11: Dean Ambrose gives lupins to the poor and is now called Dennis Moore

Already a few months past since I watched my last WWE show besides NXT. I was committed to actual writing work for money, so didn’t have the time. But I did make time to watch this newest edition of SmackDown Live because, come on, you can’t miss one of the rare occasions of Dean Ambrose playing the referee in WWE. I’ve got to say a few bits about that and also why I hardly enjoy WWE these days. Have fun!

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II 2016/08/20: Bobby Roode is gloriously overrated

At the moment, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are my favourite wrestlers in all of WWE right now. So, of course, their match against The Revival was my main event of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Others didn’t impress me that much. I still don’t get why people aren’t excited about Andrade “Cien” Almas. The guy is glorious, much more than the guy overly hyped as such. Other impressions from the latest NXT live show, you can read here. Enjoy!

SmackDown Live 2016/08/02: Dean Ambrose is on commentary and three other points the WWE corrected that I’d criticized last week

For the second edition of SmackDown Live the WWE did a whole lot better than last week. Having JBL talk less was one part of it; having Daniel Bryan talk more wasn’t. The focus more and more turns towards Dolph Ziggler and I wonder how big the piece of cake will be for Dean Ambrose in this scenario. What actually happened and my thoughts and theories about it, you can read here. Enjoy!

SmackDown Live 2016/07/26: Dean Ambrose already retained his WWE Championship at SummerSlam

A new era started on Tuesday when SmackDown Live aired – like the name suggests – live with an exclusive roster and still WWE Champion Dean Ambrose. Everything sounded good but with Vince McMahon exclusively responsible for this show, things weren’t executed as well. Here are my thoughts and resentments about it. Enjoy!

Battleground 2016/07/24: Dean Ambrose is the Best of The Shield and he brings the WWE Championship to SmackDown Live

Dean Ambrose said he was excited to be drafted to SmackDown. But that’s not even close to my very own excitement level I was in, especially with Rollins and Reigns being on RAW. Now, Dean Ambrose has got the chance to make a name for himself and himself alone. And he started at Battleground with retaining his WWE Championship in the ex-Shield Triple Threat match. Those are my thoughts about the newest changes and results in WWE. Enjoy!

Go raibh maith agat – bad cop, bad bad cop and their team at the Euros 2016 in France

From high emotions after the win over Italy, we crashed back down to earth against France. But Ireland didn’t go out of the Euro 2016 without a hard fight against the hosts. This team showed heart and pride and made the whole nation proud. They were a joy to watch and with a bit of luck they could have won, too. But luck is for losers. So, we’re already looking forward to the qualifications for the World Cup 2018. There is just one thing left I feel I need to do: saying thank you to Martin O’Neill, Roy Keane and the whole team for their all around performances on and off the pitch.
