This was quite a fun interview to put in here. Because on the original page you’ve got a Spanish transcript that is actually a translation because the interview was actually done in English. Luckily enough (thank you!), the kind people of PlanetaWrestling put the audio on YouTube, so you can listen yourself. The fun that I had, was to transcribe the audio, comparing it with the Spanish translation. Oh, and by the way (before some people start moaning about Cesaro not speaking in Spanish here: the guy only speaks Swiss, German, English, Italian and French. No Spanish (even if I’m slightly disappointed by that fact).
What do you think of the Cesaro Section world wide?
I think it’s awesome, I’m very, very happy and very grateful because it is something that the fans started, and I feel I am part of it and we are in this together. I want to come back from the injury as soon as possible for the Cesaro Section.
Who is your favourite to win the Royal Rumble this Sunday and who do you think will steal the show at Wrestlemania 32?
The Royal Rumble is really, really hard to pick, because there’s obviously 30 people, and there are a lot of superstars in it. I’m gonna say, whoever wins it’s gonna be a surprise. I do not think it’s gonna be anybody you think that is a favorite, it will be a surprise. And who is going to steal the show at WrestleMania? Well, I do not know, it’s the beauty of WrestleMania, you have to wait and see what the matches are and who is gonna bring it that day.
How is your recovery going from your shoulder surgery and when do you plan to come back to action?
My recovery is going really, really well, so I hope to be back soon, but when exactly I don’t know, I have to wait for the doctors.
How do you see the Tag Team division now that you’re not in it?
I see the Tag Team division as being strong, but I think the best tag team right now would probably be, you know, New Day. I think they are a lot of fun to watch, but obviously there are a lot of great tag teams out there, you know, with The Usos, The Ascension and I think it’s always great to watch tag team wrestling.
Would you like to enter into tag team action with Tyson Kidd again?
Yes, definitely, you know, Tyson Kidd feels like a brother to me. So, hopefully one day. We’ll see.
Which NXT superstar should immediately be promoted to the main roster and why?
That’s a very tough question. I don’t think I can pick one, because it always depends on how they get brought to the main roster and, you know, how it plays out. Because with some of them, you think they’re gonna be a big hit and then, you don’t know; they are not. With some, they are maybe not such a big hit and they are. So, I think timing is absolutely (the) key, and I think also you have to ask yourself if that person is gonna be able to survive in WWE.
Against who would you fight in a dream match and the reason why?
My dream match would be against whoever is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania. And who that is, I don’t care.
After record attendance of WWE in Spain this year, how do you see the possibility for RAW or SmackDown live in our country?
I hope a lot better, you know, I was not in Spain last year, but I heard from the other superstars how great the show was and how awesome the crowd was. So, that’s definitely very good and that makes us all very happy. And the problem usually with RAW or SmackDown live on television in Europe is the time difference, but if the WWE Universe in Spain continues to be so strong, hopefully that will happen sooner than later.
Would you like to return to a partnership with Paul Heyman?
Well, let’s put it this way, Paul Heyman has one thing on his mind and that’s Brock Lesnar, and I’m not willing to be the number 2, I’m number 1. So right now, definitely not.
Do you follow a special diet in your daily training?
I don’t know how special it is, because I travel so much that has to be changed and adjusted a lot, but I try to eat about six times a day, and I just try to eat very simple, that means, for example rice, vegetables and chicken or steak, very simple food, you see, definitely no fast food or stuff like that, and I stay away from sugary stuff. Lots of coffee.
A lot of people, including me, know you from the indies, and you were in our country, in Spain, can you tell us a memory about your days in Spain in the indie scene?
Yes, I always loved to travel, and of course going to Spain was really awesome. And I just enjoyed walking around, you know, eating Spanish food, and just hanging out. When we went to Europe, because at the time I lived in the United States, and it was my first time in Spain actually. So, you know, just walking around, and the people were super nice, they’re super welcoming, and I had a great time and I actually can’t wait to come back and see a little bit more, because I didn’t had much time unfortunately.
Finally, please send a greeting to all fans of WWE Universe in Spain and NEOX, it’s a channel.
I would like to thank the WWE Universe, or, you know, the Cesaro Section in Spain and NEOX, for supporting me. I really do appreciate it and it means a lot to me, and I will continue do what I do best, and that is to fight for you guys and I can’t wait to come to Spain.
You know, if I remember well, five languages. Can you say something in Spanish?
No. Ah, well, if you tell me, I can repeat it.
Un saludo para el Universo WWE en España y NEOX.
Uno saludo para na WWE Universe e The Cesaro Section en España e NEOX.
Thank you so much. It was nice. I hope we’ll see you in Spain when you come the next time.
I hope so, too. Thank you very much.
